As you might guess, I will emphasize "academic" readings for this class. At the same time, we know that much of the most immediate information about issues we might want to examine are being talked about in interesting ways on the Internet. Here's an article that touches on social identity. If that particular digital environment we call "social networks" pushes its users toward social identities, what happens when those users choose to disconnect from some parts of that identity?
