Janet H Murray wrote Hamlet on the Holodeck in 1997, which makes it ancient in Internet years. Nevertheless, she still has things to say that resonate with the Internet we use. Chapter Three, linked below, is the chapter I have the most highlights on in my copy. In this chapter she writes about the "Four Essential Properties of a Digital Environment."
